Join Max's 2022 FOX Summer Workshop, where Max will personally guide you on your adventure to the lush and green central part of Mongolia, giving you valuable and personalized tips and lessons for your photography, business and social media activities.

Fox Tour itinerary

day 1 Ulan Bator

Your safety and health is our highest priority and therefore we are applying the newest COVID-19 hygiene standards at all times. After landing you’ll be picked up by one of our Followthetracks/SIXT staff members - simply look out for the sign in the arrival hall. You’ll be brought to a 3* hotel in Ulaanbaatar and handed out a local SIM card with call and internet package. Before the road adventure starts, we will not only explore Ulan Bator, the vibrant capital of Mongolia, but also dive into your own camera gear and prepare you for the upcoming photography days.

day 2 KHUSTAIN NURUU

You will drive a paved road to southern Mongolia before leaving the beaten paths and going off-road for the following days. The Followthetracks app will guide you to the first stage of your journey through Mongolia: Khustain Nuruu! Explore this national park, which is part of the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserves and is on the list of World Biosphere Reserves. But this is only the second day of your trip. Get ready for the next part of your trip!

day 3 UGII LAKE

It’s time to continue your trip. Welcome to the Ugii lake! A beautiful freshwater lake among the mountainous steppes and grassy lands of central Mongolia. Covered with snow for part of the year, and home to a rich diversity of fish and birds.

day 4 KARAKORUM / ORKHON VALLEY

It's almost the end of your trip, but there is a whole different Mongolia still waiting for you. Head further to Karakorum! Chinggis Khan's capital and therefore, between 1235 and 1260, the former center of power of planet earth. You will visit the impressive Erdene Zuu Monastery and if you are lucky, you can watch one of the traditional and very colourful ceremonies in front of the temples. Continue to the north to the Orkhon Valley a World Heritage Site and is representing the evolution of nomadic pastoral traditions spanning more than two millennia.

day 5 RED WATERFALLS

The waterfalls in Orkhon Valley are the highest falls in the country. They are located in the heart of Mongolia, surrounded by volcanic rock formations, vast and - during the summer months - lush and green forests.

day 6 ElSEN TASRKHAI

The last stop of the Fox Route marks your arrival in Elsen Tasarkhay! The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river called Tarna River, which is lined with willows. They are also called Mongol Els, "Mongolian sands", or Khögnö Tarniin Els.

day 7-8 UB & Departure

Even the most amazing trip will eventually come to an end, so visit Ulaanbaatar again - or ask us to extend your trip: we have plenty of more things for your to do and places to visit! A SIXT / Follow The Tracks staff member will pick you up at your hotel on the day of departure and will bring you safely to the airport.
